How was your new year eve? I guess many of us opted for quiet family gatherings while others gather at hotels and parks. I'm currently watching the BBC World News and marvel at the fireworks in Sydney, one of the first cities to usher the New Year. I also learnt that many cities in the Middle East like Dubai decided to cancel celebrations "as a token of solidarity with the Palestinian people in general and Gaza Strip in particular which is currently under the barrage of Israeli's military fire".
When I woke up this morning, the news of a fire that broke out and killed 60 people in Bangkok was not something.... welcoming!

As for me, it was a quiet family gathering. I came home from work and found this in the garden! Daboys and their cousins were wet revellers!
Come 11.00 pm... headed to Jerudong 'Rocks' with a friend to catch the fireworks at the Empire Hotel and Country Club. A spectacular 30 minutes show of colours which light up the calm night.
Sadly...my camera played games with me and didn't function very well. These are the shots that I managed to get and I'm not so pleased with the result. Better than nothing I guess! Enjoy the photos.

Thanks for the fireworks photos, I can show them to my mother now. Mom wanted to go Empire to catch some fireworks last night, but she changed her plan when she knew I was busy with a report. Poor mom, now this is the compensation, at least for the time being. Haha ...
No no I am not such a lousy daughter. I'll take mom dim sum tomorrow to compensate more :-)
Hahaaaa. What an adorable daughter you are.
I suggest you better take me dim sum too... for all my hard work for your compensation. ;)
Happy New year Senor!!!Looks like u really had a good one..
