It's a Red Day today!

Congrats to Liyana and the Brunei AIDs Council for the morning walk today. For me, it was a success to see many people dragged themselves out of their beds early on Sunday morning for a good cause.

I got Fejj, Twinkle and Sweet cherry with me today. I participated in the walk because I believe that our society can make a difference through such awareness campaign. I was really scared when I read Liyana's email about what is really happening 'under the carpet' and also reading her comments on Ms Mau's blog.

Quote:

  1. Its true you guys. Secondary schools are are getting sick of arranging females only or males only assemblies in schools to stop the, apparently called TREND. Form 5 boys are chasing after form 1 girls, girls are running a business in the school toilets- method of payment? EASI CARDS. Schools can only afford to try and make them stop, but it will not give them any justice if they can’t explain why. You will not believe your ears if I go on with my stories!

Were raising funds to introduce more roadshows and workshops to educate these teens. Kids are growing up alot faster these days. It takes alot more than just encouraging, educating and persuading these kids. Talks are easy, but we are looking into practicing programs and workshops which works by touching their hearts and making them change their minds. Managing these programs are alot of money- but they are well worth it.

This is exactly why, you need to walk with us and donate as much as you like, to the BDAC. Protect your family, your brothers and your sisters. There is only so much YOU can do, but with enough funding- we know EXACTLY what we need to do.

So, it's all up to us really to give support to BDAC in ensuring we have a 'safe' society. As parents, I hope we can look out for our children. Also, this is a reminder for me to advise Daboys on such activities.

To BDAC.. hopefully, we can do this again next year. Maybe a good idea if we can have a small exhibition or posters showing the impact of AIDS to the society.. just to remind us of the dangers of casual sex!

Apart from that, it was a good workout and social event to meet other bloggers and put faces to their respective blogs. Hmmm.. interesting to see a lady sharp shooter which I haven't seen before..hehee..

What was also interesting to meet DJ Dafi and his side-kick... Maidin..hahahaa.. celebrities kali..ah!!!!

Okay to those who participated in the walk today.. Congrats to all of you.. Hope you rest well... because there is work to be done..

Next event will be a walk to create awareness on breast cancer... Hope we can make an impact on that as well.....Stay Tuned.
