Another love story you may say? Actually there are five love stories weaved into one. I don't think I can do justice in giving the film a review in marks out of 10. For me, it's a movie for romantics or someone who wants to find out what is love really? The film, according to some, based on the english film, Love Actually. The casting was fabulous as I really enjoyed the actings of Pierre Andre and Dato Rahim Razali. In this film, it portray love as knowing no boundaries in terms of age and also siblings. I should tell you much as I have no intention of spoiling the story line in the movie.
Interesting lessons that taught us about love are many in this movie:
- Sometimes it's hard to love someone you truly love;
- you are looking for love when actually love is infront of you;
- being married for a long time doesn't guarantee your marriage will last. In the movie, a couple being married for 30 years ended in divorce. I guess the notion of the need to 'keep the fire burning' is a constant reminders for married couple; and
- love among siblings... no matter how problematic the relationship is, you will be back together again. As the malay saying goes.. carik carik bulu ayam... lama lama kembali jugak".
I guess I was mostly touched by the love story of the seniors in this film. But I find Sharifah Amani's character here is a stereotype of her characters in SEPET and GUBRA. They should get someone else as she looked the same in her previous films...especially with her hair!
If you are a guy wanting to impress someone you love, this is the movie for you..
No doubt, the soundtrack of the movie will do well. There is a version of the song by Krisdayangti. CINTA sung by Misha Omar and Jacyln Victor. There are new songs by Anuar Zain and Jacyln Victor as well.
Interestingly, when we watched the film at the Empire, we bought the couple seats. I would not recommend it seriously as our view was distorted by the heads in front of us and people were passing by frequently in front of us due to the location of the seats near the entrance walkway.

I saw a little bit of trailer for this movie recently and unlike most Malay movies, I thought it looked very interesting especially Dato RR's part. I just love to way he talks. I will definitely check it out when it comes out on TV....not a cinema person.
hehehe...You may need to wait for a while before it will appear on Television.. Next Hari Raya.. I guess
Its only shown at the empire for now, right? Hmm, maybe I should pay it a visit. Though, since its based on Love Actually, I hope I don't compare it with Love Actually, that's one of my favourite movies of all time.
